I was singing in front of a group of middle-aged intellectuals from New York city. They were a group supporting a cause, maybe political. It was like an audition for America’s got talent but they were unorganized and forgot to get me a microphone. I was told they could hear me anyway and I sounded good but I didn’t win the golden buzzer like the girl before me.
