Alice CandorA candle burning is the way you spend what is finite to see clearly. This movement suggests a conscious effort to find direction by consuming the very energy that sustains the light. You are navigating a process where visibility is bought with the currency of your own vitality, a trade that keeps the shadows at bay while the source of the light diminishes.
The weight of this dream lies in the reality that every moment of clarity requires a portion of what you possess. You may feel the tension of a light that can only exist so long as it is being spent. This expenditure is the price of your current awareness, as the flame moves through the wax to reveal the path. Your capacity to see is tied to your willingness to let the fuel of your being be used for the sake of understanding.
The flame provides a way to find your footing in the dark. As you observe the candle burning, you are witnessing the active transformation of your own substance into a means of sight.
Lighting a white candle indicates a sudden summoning of clarity into a space that was previously obscured. This act of starting the flame suggests that you are actively inviting a new sense of purpose into your consciousness, using the purity of this intention to drive away the fog of uncertainty. The light arrives as a deliberate choice to see.
A burning black candle shifts the meaning toward a more somber engagement with what is being lost. The darkness of the symbol turns the focus of the dream toward the grief that accompanies the use of your inner light. You are finding clarity through the very things that feel heavy or depleted.

Alice CandorInterpreter interprets your dreams
The figure that keeps coming back in a dream has usually been waiting a long time to be looked at. A dream tends to bring forward the side of a life that daylight leaves out. What feels alien in it might be the part of you most in need of a hearing. Nothing has to be settled tonight. Which detail stayed with you after waking?
