Alice CandorA dead puppy marks a moment where a certain form of loyalty is no longer able to sustain itself within you. This dream suggests that a way of relating to others, perhaps one rooted in an uncomplicated or instinctive devotion, has reached its natural conclusion. The loss of such a creature signals that a phase of life which once offered you an easy emotional home has finished its work.
While this ending might feel like a void, it is actually the clearing of ground for a more mature way of being. You are moving away from a stage of life where affection was a given, toward a space where connection requires a different kind of strength. This movement is the slow, necessary stripping away of what you no longer need to carry.
The weight of this ending sits in the realization that you cannot return to the unburdened closeness of the past. Your capacity to honor what is true remains intact even as the old ways of showing it fade.
The sight of puppies dying or drowning suggests that the sense of security you once found in group belonging or a lightness of spirit is currently being overwhelmed by forces you cannot control. This movement in the dream indicates that your attempts to preserve a certain type of domestic joy are meeting an inevitable end, as the very things that once felt life-giving are now being pulled under by the current of change.

Alice CandorInterpreter interprets your dreams
The figure that keeps coming back in a dream has usually been waiting a long time to be looked at. A dream tends to bring forward the side of a life that daylight leaves out. What feels alien in it might be the part of you most in need of a hearing. Nothing has to be settled tonight. Which detail stayed with you after waking?
