Alice CandorA dead tortoise in a dream may signal that a vital rhythm of your inner life has been interrupted, leaving a silence where a heartbeat used to be. This stillness suggests that the slow manner in which you once navigated your days has ceased, perhaps because the very persistence that kept you going has turned into a burden you can no longer lift.
The way you once moved through your years with careful, rhythmic steps has run out of strength. This dream could be pointing to a part of your history where you relied on a slow, protective way of moving through the world, only to find that this method has exhausted its utility. The loss of this rhythm is a heavy thing, as it leaves you without the familiar shelter of your own caution. You possess a readiness to find a new way of moving that does not rely on the old, heavy armor. This dream is the stillness that remains when a shell has finally been left behind.

Alice CandorInterpreter interprets your dreams
The figure that keeps coming back in a dream has usually been waiting a long time to be looked at. A dream tends to bring forward the side of a life that daylight leaves out. What feels alien in it might be the part of you most in need of a hearing. Nothing has to be settled tonight. Which detail stayed with you after waking?
