Alice CandorAsking for directions in a dream suggests that you are currently looking for an external authority to settle an internal uncertainty. This movement often arises when the path you are walking feels less like a choice and more like a search for permission. You may be standing at a crossroads where the lack of a visible signpost forces you to confront the fact that no map can be handed to you from the outside.
The doubt you feel shows that the way forward is already moving through your own private thoughts. This dream can carry the heaviness of being lost, where the stillness of your surroundings feels like a door that will not open. You find that searching for a sign only leaves you staring at the ground beneath your feet. The clarity you desire is the result of your own ability to listen to the compass of your own necessity.
When you are giving someone directions in a dream, the focus shifts from your own searching to the way you project your internal certainty onto others. You try to find your own footing by assuming the role of the one who knows the way. You are testing the strength of your own convictions by seeing if they can hold weight for another.

Alice CandorInterpreter interprets your dreams
The figure that keeps coming back in a dream has usually been waiting a long time to be looked at. A dream tends to bring forward the side of a life that daylight leaves out. What feels alien in it might be the part of you most in need of a hearing. Nothing has to be settled tonight. Which detail stayed with you after waking?
