Alice CandorBuying a belt in a dream suggests a movement toward tightening the boundaries of your own resources or your sense of preparedness. This impulse to acquire a means of containment shows you attempting to gather what is required to keep your life from fraying. You are looking for a way to fasten your intentions to your actions, seeking a structure that can withstand the pressures of your daily existence.
The act of selection in this dream points to how you negotiate the balance between what you allow to flow and what you choose to secure. You are perhaps looking for a way to brace your footing as the weight of your responsibilities increases. An underlying feeling of being unmoored might be driving this search for a way to hold things in place, where your longing for order meets the limits of your current strength. The possibility of a sudden loosening of your self-control remains a shadow in this movement toward containment. You find strength in the way you choose to bind your scattered efforts into a single, functional line.

Alice CandorInterpreter interprets your dreams
The figure that keeps coming back in a dream has usually been waiting a long time to be looked at. A dream tends to bring forward the side of a life that daylight leaves out. What feels alien in it might be the part of you most in need of a hearing. Nothing has to be settled tonight. Which detail stayed with you after waking?
