Alice CandorCooking onions in a dream may signal a period where you are beginning to process the layers of a long-held sorrow. This movement suggests that what was once kept intact and shielded is now being prepared for a confrontation with the heat of awareness. You are moving from the protection of a hidden wound into the labor of making it known.
The heat of the kitchen forces these internal tensions into the light, turning the heavy weight of the past into something you can finally swallow. As you engage with this process, you might encounter the sharpness of what you have suppressed, a sting that demands your presence. This vulnerability is the price of clarity, and it marks the transition from merely carrying a burden to actually transforming it. A bitter loss lingers, the taste of what time has already eaten away. The act of cooking onions reveals your capacity to face the very things that cause you discomfort.
Peeling onions in a dream means you are stripping away the protections you once placed around your pain to see the shape of the truth. This uncovering moves the dream from a general state of mourning toward a more precise understanding of what lies beneath the surface.
Chopping onions in a dream intensifies the fragmentation of your composure, indicating that the process of dealing with your pain is becoming more active and perhaps more disruptive. This breakdown of the whole into smaller, sharper pieces mirrors the way you are currently dissecting your own history.

Alice CandorInterpreter interprets your dreams
The figure that keeps coming back in a dream has usually been waiting a long time to be looked at. A dream tends to bring forward the side of a life that daylight leaves out. What feels alien in it might be the part of you most in need of a hearing. Nothing has to be settled tonight. Which detail stayed with you after waking?
