Dream about diving

Diving is a movement toward the parts of yourself that do not breathe the same air as your daily thoughts. This dream may suggest that you are preparing to leave the shallow safety of the known to encounter the currents that pull at the foundation of your character.

The depth of this immersion measures how much of your own life you can bear to hold. You might find that this dream points to a period where you are no longer content to merely skim the surface of your own experiences, but are instead seeking the weight and the pressure of what lies truly beneath. If this process feels heavy, you are perhaps being overcome by the very truths you have sought to uncover. You possess the strength to navigate these submerged territories. This diving is an entry into the stillness of your own being.

Snorkeling in a dream suggests you are currently in a stage of gentle observation, where you are looking at the patterns of your life without yet committing to their full weight. This way of watching allows you to see clearly what lies under the surface of your awareness.

Scuba diving or deep diving shows that you have decided to go where the light does not reach. You move into the dense, unlit parts of your psyche to confront what you have long avoided.
