Alice CandorFighting the devil is an internal collision with the parts of your own nature that you find most difficult to face. This dream suggests you are caught in a friction where the impulses of deception or the shadows of your own hostility demand a confrontation.
The hostility you meet in this dream is the friction of your own divided impulses. You may find that this dream is a way for your mind to process the tension between your moral intentions and your more destructive instincts. This process can be exhausting, as you are essentially working against an enemy that resides in your own depths. You possess the capacity to stand your ground against these internal pressures. The struggle is the way you define your own integrity against the friction of fighting the devil.
Being chased by the devil indicates that the enmity you feel within is currently experienced as a pressure that forces you into a state of psychological flight. This movement suggests that you are attempting to outrun a part of yourself that you are not yet ready to integrate, which turns the dream into a pursuit of something you have tried to leave behind.
Fighting with the devil suggests that you have moved from a state of passive avoidance into an active engagement with your shadow. This shift means you are no longer merely observing your internal contradictions but are actively wrestling with them to gain mastery over your impulses.
Rebuking the devil shows that you are setting limits on your own shadow. By speaking back to these impulses, you claim the power to govern the parts of yourself that once dictated your actions.

Alice CandorInterpreter interprets your dreams
The figure that keeps coming back in a dream has usually been waiting a long time to be looked at. A dream tends to bring forward the side of a life that daylight leaves out. What feels alien in it might be the part of you most in need of a hearing. Nothing has to be settled tonight. Which detail stayed with you after waking?
