Alice CandorGoing down in an elevator marks a retreat from the heights you have occupied, a turning away from the visibility that once defined your position. This dream shows you stepping back from the center of things, lowering yourself from a place of prominence to a more private level of existence.
The descent is a way of navigating the layers of your own influence, moving through the structures you have built to find what lies beneath the surface of your public life. You might find that this retreat from the spotlight is a way of settling into a more stable foundation. A loss of status is a possibility that sits in the shadow of this movement. Your ability to move through these levels shows that you are currently managing a shift in your own standing.
An elevator going down fast indicates that this shift in your rank is occurring with a suddenness that denies you the chance to prepare for the change. This rapid fall catches you unawares, stripping the momentum from your footing as you drop.

Alice CandorInterpreter interprets your dreams
The figure that keeps coming back in a dream has usually been waiting a long time to be looked at. A dream tends to bring forward the side of a life that daylight leaves out. What feels alien in it might be the part of you most in need of a hearing. Nothing has to be settled tonight. Which detail stayed with you after waking?
