Dream about swallowing a ring

Swallowing a ring suggests a movement toward making a private commitment part of your very substance. You may be trying to absorb a duty or a connection into your identity until it is no longer an object you hold, but a part of your own body. You are working to digest a responsibility that once stood apart from you, pulling it from the world of outward tasks into the hidden workings of your own life.

The process of this internalization can feel like a way to protect a bond from the scrutiny of the world. By pulling this symbol of authority or connection inward, you are perhaps seeking to settle a question of loyalty within yourself. There is a weight to this movement, as if the gravity of what you are taking in requires a fundamental change in how you stand. You are learning to live with what you have pledged. A struggle with this intake may indicate that the obligation you are attempting to adopt is not yet ready to be fully integrated.

Swallowing rings implies a series of such internalizations, suggesting that you are navigating multiple layers of allegiance or various aspects of your own power. This repetition of the act may indicate that your efforts to reconcile different parts of your life are ongoing and require a sustained effort of integration.
