Dream about cooking soup

Cooking soup is your mind trying to pull together the scattered, broken pieces of what you have lived into something that can finally nourish you. This dream suggests that you are currently engaged in the labor of integrating various aspects of your history or your current circumstances, seeking to find a way to make them serve your well-being. This process of blending can be a slow and careful movement, as you try to find the right temperature and the right mixture to turn what is scattered into something that sustains you.

How you stir these parts shows how you handle the difficult work of healing yourself. When you work to join these pieces, you are attempting to build a whole person from a pile of different things. If the parts do not fit, you may feel that your inner life is out of balance. This dish may taste wrong if the elements of your recent days have not yet found their place. This dream finds you at the stove, where you are learning to take the disparate things you have gathered and make them a meal that keeps you upright.

By cooking soup for someone else, you turn the effort of making things whole toward the needs of a person in your life. You discover that the act of looking after another helps you find your own footing while you prepare the meal.
