Alice CandorDrowning in a lake suggests a moment where the things you have gathered for your security begin to press down on you with a weight you cannot steer. This dream may point to a period where the very things you have gathered for your stability are now threatening to submerge your sense of self. You might find that the stillness you once sought in your surroundings has turned into a depth that feels impossible to measure or control.
The movement of being pulled under by the water marks a transition from being a witness to your life to being a subject of its pressures. This dream reveals how the stillness of your life can turn into a force that strips away your power to move. You are facing a situation where your capacity to steer through your own circumstances is being tested by a rising tide. The depth of the water is a mirror for the scale of what you are currently struggling to hold above the surface.
The way you find the surface again shows that you possess the means to endure. The water remains a place where you are learning to find your breath.
Falling in a lake changes the nature of the encounter from a slow descent into a sudden loss of footing. You lose your balance in a way that strikes you before you can prepare. The suddenness of the fall indicates that the overwhelm you feel may arrive without the warning of a slow decline.

Alice CandorInterpreter interprets your dreams
The figure that keeps coming back in a dream has usually been waiting a long time to be looked at. A dream tends to bring forward the side of a life that daylight leaves out. What feels alien in it might be the part of you most in need of a hearing. Nothing has to be settled tonight. Which detail stayed with you after waking?
